Supervisors, GLH officials meet behind closed doors

Leflore County supervisors met with administrators and board members from Greenwood Leflore Hospital on Monday in a special session called by supervisors to discuss the financial status of the hospital.

The meeting quickly went to executive session, excluding the press and the public.

2 die in Itta Bena shootout

Two Moorhead men were killed in a weekend shooting in Itta Bena during an attempted robbery by one of the victims, according to authorities.

Juan Conrod, 27, and Lavensky McGee, 21, were both dead at the scene when sheriff’s deputies arrived around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, according to Leflore County Sheriff Ricky Banks.
