MVSU baseball drops first 3 games to UTM

The Mississippi Valley State University baseball team achieved a milestone Sunday by defeating Tennessee-Martin 5-3 for its first non-SWAC win over a Division I opponent since 2017.
The last win over a non-SWAC team in Division I baseball was a 10-9 victory over Arkansas State in 2017.

Elzy softball gets narrow win

The Amanda Elzy girls fast-pitch softball team scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to slip past Ruleville 14-13 Thursday.
Elzy tacked on six runs in the first, four in the second and two in the third. Ruleville scored one run in the first, five in the third and seven in the fourth.
