Board hears options for bond issue

The Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School Board was presented four budget options Tuesday for using funds from a possible bond issue.

Three representatives from Major Design Studio, a Columbus architectural firm, spoke to the board about what new school construction could look like for the district.

3 DSA staffers test positive for coronavirus

Delta Streets Academy has moved to an all-virtual schedule for this week after three staff members tested positive for the coronavirus.

T. Mac Howard, head of school at Delta Streets, said the move was made out of “an abundance of caution” after the positive tests early last week.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
