An Itta Bena man died this morning in a fire that consumed his house near Mississippi Valley State University.
George Copprue Jr., 50, 41964 U.S. 82, Itta Bena, was found face down in a bedroom, Leflore County Sheriff Ricky Banks said.
Copprue’s body has been sent to Jackson for an autopsy, he said.
