A traffic accident on U.S. 82 West near Itta Bena has resulted in the death of a Greenwood woman and her infant daughter.
According to Tony Dunn, a public affairs officer with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 9 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. 82 West, just west of the intersection with Mississippi 7 South.
