Kenderick Cox appears to be the next mayor of Greenwood after Tuesday’s unofficial vote total shows him leading incumbent Mayor Carolyn McAdams.
Cox, 41, led McAdams, 78, with 1,835 votes, or 53% of the vote. McAdams earned 1,649 votes, or 47% of the vote. The count includes 339 absentee ballots.
