The Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District violated its own policies, state policy and state law when it hired Mary Smith Johnson as superintendent, according to a notice from the Mississippi Department of Education.
The notice, dated last Friday, also said Johnson is not properly licensed or certified to hold the office.
