Accountant: City finances in 'OK shape’

School districts’ graduation rates improving

The graduation and dropout rates for all four of the public high schools in Leflore and Carroll counties have improved, according to data from the Mississippi Department of Education.
The rates for the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District and Carroll County School District have also surpassed the state’s average.

Belzoni-based charter school to hold informational meeting

A new Mississippi charter school that uses a hybrid model of learning will host an informational meeting Tuesday in Greenwood.
The meeting for prospective parents and interested community members will be held at Mississippi Delta Community College’s Greenwood Center, located at 204 East Church St. It will begin at 6 p.m.
