Big Sand Farmers Market began at its new location Thursday evening at the North Carrollton Industrial Park. “We are proud to have the farmers market here, and there are plans for more events at the industrial park,” North Carrollton Mayor Ken Strachan said. The town has requested more than $5.2 million in congressional appropriations for a multipurpose building, a senior citizen center and a safe room on the more-than-20-acre site.
