Pillow Academy Girls Soccer: Lady ’Stangs have sights set on fifth in a row

They begin their quest for a fifth straight state soccer crown Tuesday, when they open up at home against longtime rival Washington School. They have compiled a 56-9-4 record during this historic championship run.

Pillow girls fall in 4A North Division I championship game

Pillow Academy was derailed at home by an East Rankin Academy team that dominated the final three periods to blow open a game between the top seeds.

The ERA girls rolled to an 85-56 blowout of the Lady Mustangs Saturday in the North 4A Division I Tournament championship at Pillow’s Stribling Gymnasium.

North 4A Tournament: Lady Mustangs in finals

Pillow Academy took total control in the third period, and left Madison St. Joseph in its wake.
The Lady Mustangs scored the first 15 points of the second half and cruised to a 74-39 win in the North 4A Tournament semifinals Friday afternoon at Pillow’s Stribling Gymnasium.

Ignited by an early, explosive outing from Miriam Jane Rodgers, the Pillow Academy Lady Mustangs scored early and often en route to a dominating 71-27 victory over Lamar School Tuesday night in the first round of the MAIS North 4A Tournament at Stribling Gymnasium.
