Supervisors OK demolitions of 3 properties

Leflore Christian will hold jamboree Friday

A fundraiser, complete with all sorts of fall festivities, will be held at Leflore Christian School on Friday.
The annual Harvest Jamboree, which raises money for the school, will start at 5 p.m.
A wide range of activities will be available, from 50-cent carnival games to a cake walk. Local vendors also will be set up.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
