Collins to remain supervisors’ president

Leflore County District 5 Supervisor Robert Collins has retained his seat as the board’s president.
The board unanimously chose Collins for the head position and District 4’s Eric Mitchell as vice president Monday. The board also unanimously reappointed its attorney, Kelvin Pulley, and a number of other county officials.

Greenwood may get about 3 inches of snow

A significant snowfall is possible for the Greenwood area later this week, according to the National Weather Service.
A winter storm watch, which means there are favorable conditions for hazardous weather, was issued by NWS early Wednesday morning and will be in effect until midnight Saturday.
