UAPB swats Delta Devils

Mississippi Valley State’s men’s hoops struggled to score early during its game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff Saturday. Down by five points, a free throw by Alvin Stredic finally got the Delta Devils on the board with 16:46 left in the half, but Valley was unable to close the scoring gap that got as high as 22 points and fell 88-72.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
