Mobile clinic to offer health services Friday

A mobile clinic offering free health services will be at Leflore Legacy Academy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
Plan A mobile health — “health care on wheels” — will be stationed at 500 West Washington St. to “eliminate barriers in access to health care,” program director Desiree Norwood said.

Board approves health service for employees

Employees of Leflore County will again have the opportunity to receive no and low-cost health care services.
The Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Monday to approve a work-site health and wellness service as part of its employee gap insurance plan provided by Affordable Employee Benefits of Ecru.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
