Pillow bounces back with big win over Columbia

After suffering a 49-0 loss to Hartfield Academy last week, Pillow Academy found itself on the other end of a lopsided blowout Friday night at Columbia Academy.
Nelson Hodges rushed for 112 yards and three touchdowns to help the Mustangs bounce back in a big way with a 48-6 victory over the Cougars.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
