Survey on rural policing planned

A team of professors at Mississippi Valley State University is asking for the assistance of Leflore County residents as it works on a statewide survey assessing Mississippians’ perceptions on policing in rural areas of the state.
The project is being conducted in consultancy with the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Coffee fiends, rejoice. Mississippi Mo Joe Coffee Co. will be reopening soon under new ownership.
Brothers Ben and Caleb Cox, the Greenwood restaurateurs who run By the Bridge Bistro on West Claiborne Avenue, purchased the coffee shop at 215 Howard St. from Amy Makowsky in late March.

Thompson discusses stimulus funds
