Urologists glad to serve the Delta

Greenwood Leflore Hospital’s two new urologists are excited to provide their medical services in the Delta.
Dr. Jordan Windham and Dr. Sarah Rentrop, a couple who got married earlier this year, have been practicing at their Starkville Urology satellite clinic since April.

Ramcat fest set for Aug. 14

Ramcat Alley will come alive again later this summer for the Ramcat Rhythm & Brews 2021 festival, which will be held next month by Main Street Greenwood.
Ramcat Rhythm & Brews, scheduled for Aug. 14, will be the first festival held at the downtown alleyway since 2016, when the event was last held.

No federal aid for flood victims

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
