John and Jeanne Gewalt said the architecture of their home on River Road was the biggest selling point. “We fell in love with the architecture,” said Jeanne. The house was the interior setting for Skeeter’s home in the DreamWorks movie “The Help,” which was largely filmed in Greenwood. The Gewalts, along with their neighbor Robert Tanner, have started an effort to revive River Road, a once prominent street in Greenwood.
