The torch of Mississippi Valley State University’s proud legacy has been passed to a new generation of graduates, Saturday’s commencement speaker said.
“You have to carry that mantle now as we do other things,” said Dr. Gary A. McGaha, the speaker at Valley’s 64th commencement, held at the Leflore County Civic Center.
