The Alliance for Sustainable Agricultural Production will hold a field day in Greenwood on Friday.

The event will be hosted at Levee Run Farm, 802 Grenada Blvd. Extended.

Participants must pre-register.

Check-in begins at 10 a.m. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. and concludes at 2:30 p.m.

Grand re-opening

North Greenwood Baptist Church is planning a big unveiling Sunday for its newly renovated sanctuary.

The $800,000 project officially started Jan. 1. A service was held that morning, and the work began after lunch with the removal of the pews, said Dr. Jim Phillips, pastor of the church.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
