Some Leflore County farmers are learning the finer points of planting, growing and harvesting the Delta’s newest cash crop — sesame seeds.
This year, roughly 1,500 acres of sesame seeds have been planted in the county, according to Jerry Singleton, an agent with the Leflore County Extension Service.
