The Greenwood City Council has appointed Greenwood Police Lt. Ray Moore as acting police chief.
The council, in a 3-1 vote, approved Moore’s appointment at a special call meeting at 9:30 this morning.
City Council President Ronnie Stevenson, Ward 4’s Charles McCoy and Ward 7’s Carl Palmer voted for Moore.
