Lawful gun owners can help authorities solve gun thefts by keeping a written record of their firearms, says Greenwood’s police chief.
“Most of the time, when we get firearms reported to us as stolen, I’d be scared to give you a percentage, but quite often, they don’t have a clue what the serial number is,” Ray Moore said.
