Storms that have dropped more than 3 inches of rain in Leflore County since Friday are expected to begin tapering off later this week.
“We’re expecting the rain to continue today. It is not going to be as heavy as it has been over the past 36 to 48 hours,” said Brad Bryant, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Jackson.
