High court reverses ruling in local suit

Arrests warrants for three people wanted in connection with the Jan. 28 robbery of a Greenwood gas station have been sent to police in Kosciusko, Greenwood Police Chief Ray Moore says.

Derrick Young, Antonio Grant and Beatrice Davis, all of Tchula, are being held in Kosciusko following a similar robbery attempt there.

Utility scam targets businesses

Greenwood Utilities is warning of a telephone scam that is targeting commercial businesses and asking for utility payments.

“We’ve had four since Monday,” said Larry Griggs, the executive vice president of operations for the municipally owned utility.
