This rendering of the planned new space for the Salvation Army Family Store shows wood accent walls for the “boutiques” in each department. Designer Emily Roush-Elliott said fitting rooms will be made of curtains on tracks to give the space more interest, affordability and flexibility. As soon as subcontractors have all been confirmed and prices solidified, work will begin on new headquarters for the Salvation Army on Mississippi 7 in a building they will lease from the Greenwood-Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation. Currently the Salvation Army retail store is located on U.S. 82.
