A senior football player at Carroll Academy has died as the result of injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident early today.
Jacob Randall, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene after the vehicle he was driving left Mississippi 17, 4 miles south of Carrollton, and hit a pine tree, according to Carroll County Coroner Mark Stiles.
