School nutrition dept. plans upgrades

The Child Nutrition Department of the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District is working to replace old equipment with newer, better additions for the schools.

Some of these include walk-in freezers for cafeterias, new cafeteria tables, improvements to service lines and grab-and-go breakfast kiosks.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
