One man critically injured in accident

Charles Reaves Jr., 19, of Greenwood was in critical condition this morning at the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident Saturday night.

His mother, Dorothy Reaves, did not discuss her son's injuries but said he is still unconscious from the accident.

Cotton trading continues decline

For the third day in a row, July cotton futures traded at a 15-year low on the New York Cotton Exchange.

Contracts for all months finished at new lows, continuing the price decline for the Leflore County's chief cash crop.
