Some local businesses are expecting an increase in customers this weekend as the annual statewide sales tax holiday rolls around.
The event, which is intended to promote shopping, boost local revenue and cut parents some slack as they shop for back-to-school gear, begins at 12:01 a.m. Friday and ends at midnight Saturday.
