Itta Bena is on its way to restoring financial order.
Last week, the city paid off a small portion of one of its biggest debts, which totals more than $497,000 to the Municipal Energy Agency of Mississippi (MEAM). That tab stretched over several years of unpaid and partially paid invoices.
