Workers from Ainsworth Sign Co. put the finishing touches on a sign at the new Greenwood Police Substation Thursday. The substation, located at the intersection of Howard and West Gibbs streets, will be staffed by two officers per shift, according to Greenwood Mayor Carolyn McAdams. The building was donated to the city by owner Mike Peralta of Hammond, La. The mayor said she has spent $4,200 from her mayor’s contingency fund to renovate the building.
