Greenwood native Carolyn Nye McGeoy, a stage, film and television actress, died Friday of lung cancer at her home in Manhattan, N.Y. She was 69.
Nye was the daughter of a prominent Greenwood family. Her father was the president of a local bank, which is now Trustmark, and her mother was a homemaker.
