A perk that’s open to abuse

Leflore County Supervisor Eric Mitchell has been driving his county-owned pickup truck to his regular job at the Greenwood Leflore Consolidated School District.
That fact has been established, and he acknowledges it.
The question is whether that use is legal. Even if it’s not, does anyone who could do something about it care?

Road, garbage crew workers to get raise

Leflore County’s road and garbage crew workers will be getting a raise of at least $75 a month.
The raises were approved Tuesday by the Board of Supervisors after a 15-minute discussion of whether the county’s tight finances could afford the pay increases.
