Leflore County's general fund for the next fiscal year is $10.691 million, a $454,000 increase over last year.
Chancery Clerk Sam Abraham, who also serves as county administrator, said the county hopes to make up the difference through the collection of back fines. He estimated those fines to be “several thousands.”
