Both Cruger-Tchula and Carroll academies started the 2000 prep football season on a sour note Friday night.
Cruger lost 33-0 to archrival Central Holmes in Lexington, while Carroll was blasted 56-15 at Indianola Academy in the head coaching debut of Tim Nickens.
