The mayor of Vaiden has confirmed reports that the town’s chief of police was fired.
William Perry, 43, was dismissed after only six months on the job.
Mayor Mel Hawthorne didn’t give any reason for Perry’s firing. He told The (Carrollton) Conservative that more details would be released later.
