Cotton producers in the north portion of the Mississippi Delta have failed to support continuation of a boll weevil eradication program.
Early reports from the Aug. 22 election were that the program had been extended in Leflore, Quitman, Sunflower, Tunica and west Tallahatchie counties, the so-called North Delta region.
