Senate race to ride on presidential vote

JACKSON — Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann announced that 172,787 new voters have registered in Mississippi this year.

Those new voter registrations bring the state’s registered voters to a new all-time high of 1,873,740. The 172,787 new registered voters should make Mississippi Republicans nervous — and whet Democratic appetites.
