JACKSON — Like most Americans who pay taxes, I admit I breathed a sigh of relief when I learned that the Obama administration and Republicans in Congress had reached a compromise on extending the Bush tax cuts.
Frankly, it was the first really sensible compromise between the two major parties in months.
