JACKSON - Medicaid Executive Director Rica Lewis-Payton will seek a position related to health care after she resigns Jan. 13.
Her resignation is effective the same day Gov.-elect Haley Barbour is sworn into office. Throughout his campaign, Barbour, a Republican, criticized how costly Medicaid had become for the state.
