Board fails to fill vacancy

CARROLLTON — The first attempt at filling the Carroll County Beat 2 School Board seat left open by the resignation of Jim Strong failed Thursday night.

Board member Kenneth DeLoach nominated former board member Marcus Kuykendall, and Ben Shute seconded the motion, but it failed after Rubye Miller and Laura Davis voted against it.
