N. Carrollton church to present Easter play

NORTH CARROLLTON — North Carrollton Baptist Church will continue a 15-year tradition of presenting an Easter drama.

This year, the drama is “A Fisherman’s Story,” which will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the church sanctuary.

The public is invited to attend. There is no charge.

CARROLLTON — Carroll Baptist Church is looking for volunteer readers to help read the Bible through without comment when it holds “God Speak 2016” on the Carroll County Courthouse lawn this Easter weekend.

In “God Speak,” people read aloud from the Bible continuously from 9 a.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Sunday.

The Greenwood Commonwealth expanded its newsroom in 2025 by adding Gerard Edic as a reporter covering public safety and other stories of interest to the community.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
