Brown, the current president of the board, and Abraham, who is looking to join the board after serving for five terms as chancery clerk, easily won their respective primaries Tuesday.

A candidate for the state House of Representatives has filed an affidavit accusing her opponent of criminal assault.

Reta Holden, who is running for the District 34 seat, made the allegation against the incumbent, Rep. Kevin Horan of Grenada, whom she faces in today’s Democratic primary.
