Head Start pioneer reflects on her 50 years of service

Ex-officer charged with sex crime

Novelists to try to unravel ‘Southern noir’

Four Southern novelists, including Greenwood’s Jamie Kornegay, will gather at Turnrow Book Co. on Thursday for a panel discussion titled “The New Southern Noir.”

The panel will be composed of Brian Panowich, David Joy, Michael Farris Smith and Kornegay. The discussion will begin at 5:30 p.m.

His position is partially funded by a two-year grant from Report for America, a national nonprofit. Generous supporters in the community donated the matching funds in the first year. We are now raising funds for Year 2.
