Larry “Kite” Johnson, a former Leflore County supervisor and one-time teacher at Quitman County Middle School in Marks, has been indicted for simple assault on a vulnerable person.
The indictment, filed last week in Quitman County Circuit Court, alleges that Johnson struck a special-needs fifth-grader at the middle school with a belt.
