Greenwood merchants say the first major Christmas shopping weekend was successful, despite less-than-ideal weather for selling winter clothing.
“It has been warm and dry, and we are not selling long sandals — we are selling boots,” said Mike Goldberg, owner of Conerly’s Shoes & Clothing. “Wet weather is a necessity.”
