Lt. Col. Matt Clausen says each era of military service has a very distinct and defining moment.
For the Air Force commander and his generation of warriors, that moment occurred on Sept. 11, 2001, when Islamic terrorists hijacked four U.S. commercial airliners and crashed them, killing almost 3,000 and injuring more than 6,000 others.
