A piece of watermelon or an icy beverage might hit the spot during the annual Stars & Stripes festival Thursday.
“It’s going to be hot. We want to make sure people stay hydrated,” said Beth Stevens, executive director of the Greenwood-Leflore County Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors the festival.
