Heath Hillman said you can buy lists of voters in previous elections, determine who votes absentee regularly and market that information.

Board axes ad funds, passes 2012 budget

The Leflore County Board of Supervisors voted 3-1 this morning to pass a budget after money for advertising county resources was removed.

Board President Wayne Self said groups holding community festivals can come before the board and request funds on a case-by-case basis instead.

Greenwood Superintendent Margie Pulley on Tuesday fiercely defended the district’s decision not to send a representative to the City Council when it voted to set the school tax rate.

Council members had questioned the absence on Sept. 6, but Pulley said the district strictly followed the law during its budgeting process.
